Growing up in Odessa, Luke attended Dowling Elementary, Milam Elementary, and Nimitz

Junior High School before moving away to South Texas. After graduating from Pleasanton

High School in 1992, Luke attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. 

Luke used his years at Howard Payne University to gain experience in a broad range of fields

including four years experience on the university newspaper staff and serving as an executive

officer of his fraternity. Luke graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors of Business Administration

degree.

After college, Luke began working in risk management in the rental car industry.  His nine year career in the field took him to various places including Victoria, Seguin, San Antonio, Houston, and Little Rock, Arkansas.  Traveling and working in diverse communities aided Luke in developing a solid respect for great customer service.  During his time in the rental car industry, Luke won four international awards for excellence in his field.

Luke’s career also included a stint in sales management for a major package delivery company.   During this time Luke received three letters of national recognition for his outstanding efforts. 

Luke eventually obtained his insurance broker’s license, and currently owns and operates Kersh Business Solutions, LLC.  By partnering with the brokerage firm “The PEO Link, Inc.”, Luke offers his customers cost effective human resources services, and discount worker’s compensation insurance packages.  In addition, Kersh Business Solutions can provide cost effective insurance products through the partnership with the brokerage firm “Assurance Plus, Inc.”

As a local businessman and in addition to his other various business pursuits, Luke enjoys giving back to the Odessa community through volunteer work and charitable contributions.  Luke has been a member of the “Young Leaders” with the United Way in Houston and has always made charitable contributions a part of his business and personal life.  Being able to return to his childhood home and contribute to the local community has proved to be most fulfilling.
